Ever wondered what it’s like to be an introverted girl? What characteristics do they possess and how does it affect their lives? As an introverted girl, I can tell you that just like other introverts, we enjoy our alone time. But it’s a lot more than that.

Being an introverted girl doesn’t exactly exclude us for the most part as to how exactly we respond to the world from other introverts. Growing up, I spent a good number of my time alone and that means I picked up hobbies that didn’t usually require another party.

From the games I played to other things I did, it was just mostly being alone. Only ever socializing when I went to school or church but that was what I wanted most of the time. Just like every other introverted girl, our alone time tends to develop into this normality of being alone a lot.

A lot of things about introverted girls are subtly such as the way we talk, walk, speak and even translates down to out fashion. Introverted girls spend a lot of time being overly analytical and then to have a more liberal and interesting personality.

What It’s Like to Be an Introverted Girl

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be an introverted girl, these are 5 characteristics you might want to know of

They Need Alone Time

It is important to note that introverts do not hate people but they also have no desire to be friend with just about anyone. When it comes to new people, an introvert would most likely overlook them. Except they say something that catches their attention.

Introverted girls tend to socialize more on social media than in person but either of these can and will work. The only challenge however is they believe more in quality over quantity, which is a good thing.

Here’s the thing about introverted girls- they like to keep their circles small. They are usually shy around new people. Considering they find this awkward, they do not in any way want to be put in this situation.

Meeting new people triggers their anxiety and makes them uncomfortable. Introverts like to think before they talk, but most of the conversations are just people blurting out the first thing that comes to their minds or engaging in unwarranted small talk. That’s really hard for them to keep up with.

Not all introverts have anxiety disorders but a good number of them have anxiety itself. They would avoid an event if they could. If they make up their minds for some reason to attend one, know that it took a lot of guts.

They Have a Unique Sense of Style

What it’s like being an introverted girl is having an interesting sense of style. When it comes to fashion, we tend to lean toward classic colors such as black, white, grey and probably earth tones. Sometimes we might incorporate colors into our style but tone it down to classic colors as well.

It’ll be quite the challenge finding an introverted girl in neon colors. Colors that make them the center of attention is usually a no no for them. This is due to their shy and reserved personality. They find the absolute beauty in simplicity.

Side by side with more extroverted individuals, the introvert fashion might come off as boring but the more you look, the more you see. Just because they aren’t all flashy doesn’t mean they do not put thought into their outfits. They actually have a good eye for things like this.

One thing I’ve probably noticed about introverted girls, especially myself, is the abundance of T-shirts in our closet. T-shirts are always a go-to essential for a lot of introverted girls.

They Enjoy Solitude

Introverted girls usually come off as depressed, sad, gloomy etc because they spend a lot of time alone. They can also come off as weak and easily intimidated but do not be fooled. Introverted girls posses a strong will and would not bend for what they don’t believe in.

It is true that some might be sad, depressed and lonely but it isn’t something that applies to entire introverted population. They just want to be in quite places most times.

Let’s say you have a date with an introverted woman and the first thing you do is take her to a bar or a club. Now, that is the complete opposite of what you should do. Noisy places tend to leave introverts overstimulated, and that’ll be the last time you hear from her.

What it’s like being an introverted girl? It’s being affected by your internal and external surrounding. Having an introverted hangover if you’re overstimulated and seeking isolation for a long long time.

They Are Very Independent

Introverts generally find asking people for help a huge challenge. Not only does it make them uncomfortable, it also is a means of socializing. They also find working with other people frustrating. An introvert prefers doing the work alone and this is why they suffer in groups.

When grouped, they most likely would be dissatisfied with a lot of things and might just end up doing the entire work. Sometimes they believe they have to do it for it to be right. As an introverted woman, I can guarantee that this is true.

Independent activities usually just sit better with if. We don’t have to worry about anxiety even when are anxious. We don’t have to worry about socializing or having to share our spaces as well.

They Are Overly Analytical and Intentional

What it’s like being an introverted girl is being intentional in all we do. From the food we eat to the people we associate with to the clothes we wear.car do not do things because everyone else is doing them. That goes against all we believe in.

We can also get overly analytical by the slightest and seemingly most insignificant of things by others. We tend to read more into things that necessary sometimes. But the good thing is, we are always prepared.

Introverted girls can be one of the coolest people you can ever get to know. As long as they are willing to welcome you in their space, it’ll be a much easier ride. What it’s like being an introverted girl? It’s a lot but it’s beautiful.
