INFJ 2w1- Here’s What to Expect

-

INFJs are a rare breed and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Some INFJs will identify as INFJ 2w1 when using the enneagram personality.

So what can you expect from an INFJ 2w1?

What Makes the INFJ 2w1 Different From Other INFJs?

INFJ 2w1s are fundamentally different from stereotypical INFJs. If you’re a fan of the MBTI, you’ll notice that INFJs are often depicted as super introverted, mysterious, and want a lot of uniqueness.

For the INFJ 2w1s, they are more interested in people and how they can be of help. They want to see people happy and consciously work towards these goals. This especially applies to their family and friends.

The need to make others happy comes from a need for validation and acceptance. They reason that that is the only way people will like them or need them.

INFJ 2w1 has an ultra-enhanced extroverted feeling function (Fe). This allows them to perfectly understand people’s feelings or emotions. This further enhances their goal of keeping people happy.

This personality type is also interested in being good. This need might be slightly more present here than in other INFJs. Combined with the need to make people happy, INFJ 2w1s often make excellent counselors and teachers.

INFJ 2w1 are more likely to be INFJ-T.

Here’s a table that shows the main differences between INFJ 2w1 and other INFJs.

Strengths of the INFJ 2w1

1. Helpful/Generous

INFJ 2w1s are very generous. This is probably because of their type 2 function. They want to see people happy. Thus, they go out of their way to make this happen.

This often means being generous with their time and finances. They might spend more on people than even themselves. They also have a big heart. Thus, they do not hold back when giving.

It just comes naturally to them.

2. Loyal

This personality type is interested in building bonds with their friends and those they love. Thus, when they make friends, they are determined to keep them. This means that they stay loyal to their friends.

They do things that make them happy and align themselves with their goal. They are also less likely to bring up issues that might lead to conflicts.

While this is true, INFJ 2w1s have their values and will find it hard to overthrow sacred ones just for their friends.

3. Action-Oriented

Action is not something associated with the INFJs. However, INFJ 2w1 is very action-oriented. People usually have a lot of tasks and INFJ 2w1s don’t mind helping out.

Combine this with their own needs and you’ve got a full schedule every day of the week. This gives them no other choice but to be action-oriented. They are one of the most hardworking people you’ll find.

4. Great Listeners

As earlier stated, this personality type benefits from a matured Fe function. Thus, they are great listeners and communicators.

They know how to listen to others without thinking of giving a reply. This makes people feel heard when they are with this personality type.

They also know the right words to use and how to put people at ease. It can be a therapeutic experience if you’ve ever turned to them when in need.

They are the perfect companions.

5. Selfless

INFJ 2w1 can be very selfless. Because they have type 1 as their wing, they are interested in doing what is good for the sake of it. Thus, they give a lot without expecting anything back.

This selfless attitude often puts them at the forefront of charity organizations or volunteering.

6. Good Leaders

As earlier stated, INFJ 2w1s are often good listeners. They also care a lot about people and can be quite selfless. Moreover, they are hardworking.

These are qualities needed to be a great leader and they have it in abundance. Because they are INFJs, they are also very empathetic. This inspires confidence and can be a springboard for their subordinates. If you have an INFJ 2w1 as a boss, you’re really lucky.

Weaknesses of the INFJ 2w1

1. People-Pleasing

With the craving to help others come other problems. One of them is people-pleasing. When people realize just how helpful this type is, they try to take advantage of this situation.

The world can be scary and INFJ 2w1s are right in the middle of it.

Thus, just like the INFJ 9w1, they need to build healthy boundaries and learn how to say no. That is mightily important if they want to keep their sanity.

2. Self-Esteem Hinged on Appreciation

INFJ 2w1 wants to feel appreciated for the shift they put in. It’s easy to understand why. They usually work the hardest and do so for selfless reasons.

A little appreciation makes them happy. When this isn’t given, this personality type might feel hurt or not valued. This can take a big toll on their self-esteem and confidence levels.

3. Self-Critical

Having type 1 as a wing also comes with its flaws. One of them is holding themselves to high standards. While this might depend on the strength of their wing, it can be present in the INFJ 2w1.

This might lead to self-criticism. As we all know, that never ends well. Everyone makes mistakes. Understanding that can be a real gamechanger.

4. A little Judgemental

INFJ 2w1s can also be a bit judgemental. This might happen in two or more ways. It could happen when they want to support their friends in times of need or in a conflict.

It can also happen when someone doesn’t agree with their idealistic views. Most INFJ 2w1s will probably not notice they have this trait. However, it’s ever-present in this personality type.
