-

What are some dressing tips for introverts you absolutely need to know? Introverts generally like being in the comfort of their own homes. This can make leaving the house a challenge.

Not many people know this but dressing up for events as an introvert can be highly overwhelming. Going outside is inevitable, hence the need for dressing tips for introverts.

It might be just a walk to the library, having a nice cup of coffee with your friends, or even something more risqué like going to the club or going to the bar. Yea, introverts have friends too. We don’t hate people; we just really prefer our alone time. And people and social interactions can be quite draining.

We can engage in them but definitely not for too long. And after that, we will require a long period of resting and recharging. But back to the topic.

Fashion is a statement. It doesn’t matter if you like it or not. As an introvert, you fashion can save you. So, pay attention to these tips.

Dressing Tips for Introverts

As mentioned above, your fashion as an introvert can completely save you. So here are a few things you do not want to miss.

1. Sunglasses

You need a big, dark pair of sunglasses for two reasons. The sun may be out, you need to protect your eyes and that’s a given. And then the most important reason of them all, to avoid eye contact.

When you avoid eye contact, you also avoid the need to interact with people and just go about your business. As introverts, communicating with strangers can be draining. It can make your heart race a little more. And then you start overthinking what to say and what not to say.

A good pair of shades saves you from that problem. You can find the shape that best suits your face and is comfortable enough for you. With the right pair of sunglasses, you can never go wrong.

2. Color Palette

The colors you choose as an introvert is very important. If you are looking to avoid people, you do not want colors that draw attention to you. Colors like blue are very welcoming colors. Not today.

Instead consider skin tone shades that just help you blend right in. And if you have none of those, you can always try black, grey or white. You do not want sharp colors drawing attention to your existence. Except that’s what you want.

Blue, pink, green, peach etc have been considered most approachable colors and you probably don’t need that right now. Drab colors are great for situations like that.

Drab colors can also be styled to suit your personality. And again, you can go with the all time favorite, black. Other ways to top this look up a notch is with the use of accessories.

3. Headphones

As an introvert, my earphones/headphones have saved me from a lot of conversations I wasn’t interested in. Didn’t matter if something was playing or not. And more people walk around with one so you’ll be just fine.

It is important to ensure you’re in a safe environment and the music isn’t too loud so you can hear incoming vehicles and other things to be alert of. But back to the benefits.

When you have earphones on, there’s less chances of being bugged by someone. And even when they talk, you can pretend like you didn’t hear. You have earphones on, you’re literally allowed to make that mistake.

4. Attention To Details

Headphones and sunglasses aren’t the only thing you need. You might consider a hat and scarves if you want to go completely unrecognizable. You could try swears and hoodies, however not always.

Being an introvert doesn’t mean you do not get to be fashionable. But these come in handy when you just need to run to the store and right back without socializing.

Other attention to detail includes length of your outfits or shape of your neckline. You might want something that exposes more skin or less skin. It all depends on how you’re feeling.

5. Comfort

Comfort makes the list on dressing tips for introverts because it can really be the ultimate. Here’s why; when you feel comfortable, you can do just about anything easily.

When you do just about anything easily, you keep eyes away from you. You look in control of your environment more than you feel on the inside.

You can never go wrong with comfortable clothing. Doesn’t matter if it’s a girls or boy’s night out, a first date, a trip to the grocery store or even a party. The last thing you want to do is constantly pulling your blouse or skirt down. Hurting from your heels and having a social anxiety because of it.

Comfortable clothing eliminates most of that possibility. You might overthink about being underdressed but there are lots of nice clothings you can wear and still be comfortable.

Conclusion

The best dressing tip for an introvert is confidence in whatever you choose to wear. It’s also studying your mood and dressing accordingly. You need little to no attention, then try putting on things to ensure that.

Ultimately, it’s about how you feel and not what other people think. Believe it or not, our fashion choices affect our emotions. How you look can make you feel really good or just the opposite.
