11 INFJ Facts That You Should Know

-

INFJs are quite intriguing. You can call them the walking paradox. Empathetic, yet self-absorbed. Emotional, yet logical. These are just a few reasons why they have earned this title. Here’s the good news. I’m here to tell you more INFJ facts you probably never knew about.

Here are 11 INFJ facts that might just leave you surprised.

11 INFJ Facts Worth Knowing

1.      Once the Rarest

The first thing you should know is that the INFJs was once the rarest personality in the world. In fact, one of our articles states this quite clearly.

However, they lost that spot to the ENTJs and are now the third rarest after the ENFJs. They are, however, the rarest male MBTI type alongside the ENFJ. Of course, who is the rarest personality type really does not matter in the long run.

What matters is what you choose to do with knowledge of your type. INFJs currently make up about 2.9% of the world’s population.

2.      INFJ and Education

While the highest passion for the unknown probably goes to the NT types, INFJs are similar. It’s not a surprise then that they are more likely to stay in college than most types.

According to the MBTI manual, INFJs are usually among the highest GPAs in college. This shows a clear inclination towards education.

It is also not a surprise that INFJs also make great professors. More on that later.

3.      INFJ and Income

When it comes to income and earnings, INFJ ranks 13th out of the 16 personalities. Truity puts their average income at around $39,000.

Just like the INTPs, one of the many reasons for this is that INFJs spend so much time in school or college. When they get out, their earnings are influenced by the accumulation of debt they choose and their career path.

Over time, when all types are in the latter years, INFJs are ranked 9th out of the 16 personality types when it comes to earnings.

Another big reason why INFJs might not be at the top of this list is that they are not usually motivated by money. The irony of this is that INFJ’s spending habits are usually influenced by the need to be unique or comfortable.

Thus, they can splash out on things that satisfy this craving.

4.      INFJ and Popular Career Paths

When it comes to picking out a career, INFJs often go for roles that they are passionate about. They also want to have an impact on people’s lives. Thus, you can find them in the healthcare or social sciences more often than not.

INFJs also crave a bit of structure in their roles. This makes them great accountants, auditors, and financial analysts. Their love for education also means that they can be excellent professors.

5.      Extroverted Introverts

INFJs are predominantly introverts. However, they are closer to the middle of the spectrum. This means that INFJs also love socializing with others.

While this is true, they still need a lot of time to recharge afterward. Thus, we can classify INFJs as extroverted introverts.

Other MBTI types that also fit this description are the ISFJs and ISFPs.

6.      INFJ and Religion

When it comes to religion, INFJs are ranked the 6th most religious type. They have a spiritual side and this is clearly emphasized here.

They are also the most religious of all intuitive types and by a large mile. 16 personalities place their percentage at 44.44%. The second analyst is the ENFJ who is barely 42%.

Perhaps one reason for this is because of their empathetic nature. Regardless, it is definitely intriguing.

7.      INFJ and Marriage

INFJs are idealists. Thus, they often search for partners that meet their ideals. While this might be a good thing, it can also lead to a lot of problems. While INFJs certainly love being in a relationship, they find it hard to stay in one.

This does not go away after marriage. INFJs record one of the highest levels of dissatisfaction with their spouse. Their marital problems can lead to a lot of stress for the INFJ.

INFJs are also very intimate people. They are one of the likely types to experiment in the bedroom. While these are all proven statistics, INFJs can still form healthy relationships with others.

One way to do this is by getting a partner that understands you. The two partners that probably fit this bill are the ENTP and ENFP. Here’s an article that discusses the ENTP and INFJ relationship.

8.      INFJ and Politics

INFJs value liberalism. They are also fairly interested in social issues in the long term. Thus, it is more likely that INFJs will be left-wings than right wings.

However, this is not at all conclusive. Someone’s political choices are usually decided based on other factors such as background and experiences.

However, INFJs will always pick the option they feel will offer more social privileges

9.      INFJ and Enneagram Types

INFJs are more likely to be type 4 than any other type. This makes a lot of sense. Type 4 and INFJs share a lot of similar strengths and weaknesses. Thus, it’s a perfect match.

INFJs can also be type 5, type 6, type 2 or even type 9. INFJs are one of the few types that can pretty much be any type. If you are an INFJ, the best way to determine your Enneagram type is by reading more about the enneagrams.

10.  INFJ and Love Languages

When it comes to love languages, quality time is especially important to the INFJs. INFJs value authenticity. They want to have genuine conversations with their partners.

They want to connect on a much deeper level. Thus, quality time is important. Another love language that allows this level of connection is physical touch. INFJs are suckers for intimacy.

So, if you are dating an INFJ, quality time and physical touch is the way to go.

11.  The INFJ Door Slam

Finally, the INFJs are notorious for the door slam. This is what happens when someone continually hurts the INFJ. The INFJ puts up walls or boundaries to protect themselves from further harm.

Most times, this might include blocking them from social media or simply ignoring them. Thus, if there’s any type that you have to tread carefully with, it’s the INFJ.

So, there you go! Those are all the amazing INFJ facts we could find. If you have some more INFJ facts to share, you can let us know in the comments!
